Scanning Mode of Parameter Run

Abstract

The scanning mode of VirtualLab Fusion's Parameter Run document allows to perform an automatic simulation series for all combinations of specified parameter variations. This tutorila demonstrate this feature based on a tolerancing analysis regarding the efficiency of a fiber coupling setup where the fiber is longitudinally and laterally misplaced. The Parameter Run document also provides specific options for a very illustrative display of corresponding results.

Usage of the Parameter Run Document

Using the Parameter Run in VirtualLab Fusion, one can specify the varying range of selected parameters flexibly, so as to perform system analysis.

Use Case

Tolerance Analysis of a Fiber Coupling Setup

In a fiber coupling optical setup, the coupling efficiency is analyzed with respect to tolerance factors like the shift of fiber end position and the tilt of lens.
