Field Curvature Analyzer

Abstract

In VirtualLab Fusion, the field curvature of a lens component can be analyzed precisely, with the field curvature analyzer. The field curvature curve can be calculated with respect to angle or object height, and shows the aberration in both sagittal plane and tangential plane.

This tutorial shows how to set up the parameters in the field curvature analyzer.

Use Case

Focus Investigation behind Aspherical Lens

A laser diode with asymmetric divergence and astigmatism is first collimated and then focused. Evolution of the field in the focal region is investigated in detail.

Use Case

Performance Evaluation of an F-Theta Scanning Lens

With the scanning source in VirtualLab Fusion, we analyze the performance of an F-Theta lens, by measuring the focal spot position deviation and the spot size for different scan angles.
