Aberration Control via Metalens

Abstract

Spherical aberration correction was successfully demonstrated using a metalens, where a reference spherical-plano lens exhibited significant focal spot broadening due to spherical aberration. By employing a metalens with a calculated radial phase profile, the aberration was corrected to restore diffraction-limited focusing, as confirmed for both plane wave and Laguerre mode input.
