Online Training Policy

Introduction

LightTrans arranges regular public VirtualLab Fusion online training courses on different topics.

The courses are based on the latest release of VirtualLab Fusion available at the time of the course. Depending on group dynamics, the order of the listed topics and their time assignment might vary.

Course Fees

Course fees include:

Instruction by experienced optical engineers
VirtualLab Fusion license during the course
VirtualLab Fusion evaluation license for a period of around 4 weeks (if requested)
Digital course material
Hands-on training
Participation certificate

Course fees do not include other personal expenses.

Course fees may vary depending on the topic and duration of the course.

Registration and Payment

Number of course places is limited, so please register as soon as possible to guarantee your place. Successfully registered participants will receive a confirmation of their registration, including invoice for the full registration fee.

Course fee should be fully paid at the time of registration, in order for registration to take effect. For registration and course fees please contact sales (at) lighttrans.com

LightTrans reserves the right to exclude registered participants from a course if the corresponding course fee has not been covered.

Refund of Course Fees – Cancellation Policy

All VirtualLab Fusion online training courses have a minimum number of participants. LightTrans reserves the right to postpone or cancel the online training course if this number is not reached.

In case LightTrans postpones or cancels an online training course, you will be notified of the course cancellation via email or telephone a minimum of one week before the first day of the course. If the new date does not fit or the course is cancelled, LightTrans will refund the payed participation fee.

In case any course participant cancels or modifies his/her course reservation a minimum of one week before the first day of the course he/she has registered for, LightTrans will reimburse said participant for the fully course fee in the form of non-refundable credit. This credit will expire after a year from the date of issue.

In case any course participant cancels or modified his/her course reservation less than one week before the first day of the course he/she has registered for, LightTrans will reimburse said participant for fully course fee in the form of non-refundable credit, to be cashed-in only for registration to other software courses. This credit will expire after a year from the date of issue.

The term “personal data” comprises all data that can be used to personally identify you. Our online trainings are hosted by the platform Cisco WebEx Meetings (herinafter called „provider“). WebEx is a service of the company Cisco Systems GmbH based in Parkring 20

As Cisco is a global organization, they may transfer your personal data to Cisco in the United States. Cisco Systems, Inc., Legal Department, 170 West Tasman Dr., San Jose, CA 95134 USA. The provider may save the for the online training required email adress data and your entered name.

We have also concluded a Data-Processing-Addendum with the provider, in which we oblige him to protect our customers’ data and not to pass them on to third parties. The integration of the provider serves to ensure that the online training course is carried out technically and with professional tools. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1 f) GDPR. To participate in the online training, you must click the link sent to you and will then be forwarded to the website of the provider. Please also note its data protection declaration.

name, mail address, statistical data, participation duration, data provided by you (e.g. questions in the chat)
