Photonics Spectra Optical Design Summit is a one-day virtual event dedicated to modern optical design workflow.
As part of the summit, Frank Wyrowski will deliver a lecture on the topic of „Flat Lenses: Tracing the Evolution from Smooth Surfaces to Fresnel, Diffractive, and Meta Lenses.“ In this lecture, he will discuss the development of smooth surfaces, Fresnel optics, and diffractive optics up to metalenses, as well as current challenges in their design and simulation.
Furthermore, other speakers will address a range of compelling topics:
- Julius Muschaweck, JMO Illumination Optics - Designing Freeform Optics for Illumination,
- G. Groot Gregory, Synopsys - A Modern Optical Design Workflow,

Without photonics, modern life would no longer be conceivable in many areas.
