Module 1

Overview: VirtualLab Fusion Technology

9:00 – 10:00

We give a brief insight into the theory and the different electromagnetic modeling techniques which are provided in an interconnected way by the VirtualLab Fusion solver platform. Discover how field tracing technology overcomes common challenges of numerical complexity in physical optics computations.

Modules 2 – 4

Applications: Interferometry, Microscopy and Fiber Coupling

Module 2: Interferometry | 10:00 – 10:45

You will learn how to configure various interferometric setups in VirtualLab Fusion, including Mach-Zehnder and Michelson interferometers.

Module 3: Microscopy | 11:00 – 11:45

We will discuss the analysis of different types of microscopes in VirtualLab Fusion including different source models.

Module 4: Fiber Coupling | 12:00 – 12:45

You will achieve the skills to design a lens system for high-NA fiber coupling by parametric optimization.
