Shaping of Gaussian Laser Beam into a Donut Mode
Diffractive beam shapers are of great use for various applications. With the iterative Fourier transfrom algorithm (IFTA) in VirtualLab, customized beam shaper design for any target beam is enabled. In this example, the design of a 16-level phase-only beam shaper is designed for generating a hollow shape donut mode, with optical vortex phase distribution. The performance of the designed beam shaper is also quatitatively evaluated.
