Propagation through Uneven Pinhole

This demonstration shows the propagation of an electro-magnetic field through an uneven pinhole. The pinhole is 50 µm thick and has the shape of a truncated cone with a base diameter of 16 µm and a top of 11 µm. It is possible to show the field inside the component as well as the field propagating after the pinhole. The propagation was handled by Fourier modal method (FMM) with perfect matched layers (PML). In order to save computation time, the input field and component was restricted to 2D.
