Modeling Temporal Coherence Effects

The inclusion of power spectra in VirtualLab™ source models also allow the modeling of any temporal coherence effects. Here you see the reduced contrast of an interference pattern in a double slit experiment for a mercury lamp at 546 nm line and a bandwidth of 0.1 nm, which correlates with a coherence length of about 3 mm. One slit is covered by a glass plate and causes the reduced contrast.
