All in One - From Geometrical to Physical Optics

With the VirtualLab™ Starter Toolbox, you can benefit from the innovative concept of unified optical modeling. This Toolbox offers a wide variety of modeling techniques, such as geometrical optics and wave and split-step propagation, all of which run on a single software platform. The accuracy of your modeling can be adjusted according to your needs. The sources, components and detectors in this Toolbox are extremely flexible when it comes to configuring and analyzing optical systems for any number of applications, including laser optics, micro-optics and interferometry. The Toolbox allows you to specify your laser beam, plane or spherical wave and propagate it through lenses, aspherical interfaces, lens systems imported from Zemax®, index-modulated components, apertures and stops, grating transmissions and diffractive elements. You can also analyze field parameters with detectors. A description of the light path through these components is provided in a user-friendly light path flow chart. You can concentrate on optics throughout the modeling process, while VirtualLab™ handles the numerical parameters for you.

Zemax® lens systems can be imported into VirtualLab™ and are stored in the Interfaces Sequence (AIS) component. This AIS can be used in any system as component in combination with all the sources and detectors available in VirtualLab(TM). Moreover, various modeling techniques are available for the AIS which allow modeling beyond raytracing.
