Presentation at Laser Optics Berlin

(March 01, 2010)

The modeling of fs pulses is one of the latest achievements of the research and development team at LightTrans. One of the algorithmic innovations is the quasi-analytical treatment of material dispersion that keeps the sampling effort in  the frequency domain small enough.Frank Wyrowski (Univer...

VirtualLab™ 4.6 Released

(January 31, 2010)

LightTrans is pleased to announce the release of VirtualLab™ 4.6!

VirtualLab™ and VirtualLab™ Advanced 4.6 have been released. Version 4.6 enables the rigorous electromagnetic analysis of 3-D index-modulated gratings. The index-modulation can be described by a pillar-type medium that can be used to...

LightTrans exhibiting at "Photonics West 2010"

(January 18, 2010)

As in previous years LightTrans is going to exhibit at the Photonics West Exhibition taking place in San Francisco, CA, starting on January 26 2010. We would like to welcome you at our booth No. 4601-15 in the German Pavilion and invite you to a general presentation of our software Vi...

Enjoy Optical Modeling Beyond Ray Tracing with LightTrans' New VirtualLab™ 4

VirtualLab 4.0 unifies modeling techniques ranging from geometrical optics to electromagnetic approaches on one single platform. Light path diagrams allow user-friendly set up of optical systems and combines sources, components and detectors. Source models include polarization, color and temporal / spatial coherence. Components come with their own modeling approaches, e.g., lenses use geometrical optics and gratings the rigorous Fourier Modal Method. VirtualLab ensures that the different modeling approaches per component work together in system modeling.

Dividing the package into toolboxes allows practical and simple application in analysis of systems, design of diffractive optical elements and beam shapers, analysis of gratings and laser resonator analysis.
