Tools of Grating Toolbox

The Grating Session Editor assists you in defining your simulation session. Your modeling situation is displayed in a Light Path Diagram and can be edited there. The Parameter Run significantly simplifies systematic investigations of parameter dependencies. This enables you, for instance, to focus on the efficiency or the near field based on the wavelength. This feature is also ideal for evaluating the convergence of your analysis. For instance, you can increase the number of included evanescent fields in the FMM case.

Left: Efficiency of zeroth order for 0 to 200 evanescent fields. Right: Near field of the same simulation, also for 0 to 200 evanescent fields. As you can see, the results converge if more than ca. 120 evanescent fields are calculated.
