Fox Li and Arnoldi Eigenmode Algorithms

 

VirtualLab™ offers two algorithms for the eigenmode analysis of resonators: the Fox-Li algorithm and the Arnoldi algorithm. Typically the convergence of the Arnoldi algorithm is faster and requires much less iterations than the Fox-Li algorithm. The Figure shows the convergence of the width of the eigenmode for Fox-Li (left) and Arnoldi algorithm (right).
