VirtualLab™ 4.8 Released

(July 09, 2010)

VirtualLab™ and VirtualLab™ Advanced 4.8 have been released. VirtualLab™ 4.8 extends the flexibility of 2-D grating simulations. Using so called stacks, the period of the structure can be defined by sequences of optical interfaces, including grating, conical, aspherical, sampled and programmable int...

Our distributor in the United States, Jenoptik Optical Systems, Inc., is exhibiting at the International Optical Design Conference (IODC) in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA starting June 13 2010. As part of their exhibition the optical software VirtualLab™ is being presented. An invited talk on "Uni...

Rigorous and Approximate Analysis of Gratings

The VirtualLab™ Grating Toolbox provides you with numerous methods and tools to analyze gratings and photonic crystals. Various types of gratings can be analyzed with a variety of techniques like the rigorous Fourier modal method (FMM) and other approximation methods in order to test the validity of approximations. With this toolbox you can also analyze the diffraction efficiency, and near and far fields. Moreover, polychromatic input fields make it possible to analyze the grating dispersion. Polarization is included in all the simulations. Everything is done on the VirtualLab™ platform with the same user-friendly GUI concepts used in all the toolboxes.
